Youth drowns trying to swim across 70m-wide river


DUNGUN: A youth is feared to have drowned while his brother was rescued after strong currents swept them away when they were swimming across a 70m-wide river at Kampung Kuala Jengal, here on Saturday.

A search and rescue operation involving 50 villagers as well as personnel from the Bandar Al-Muktaffi Billah Shah Fire and Rescue Department and Civil Defence Department failed to find the victim.
