KUALA LUMPUR: Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor (Syabas) expect water supply that affected more than half a million people in 90 areas around the city, will resume fully within a week.

Syabas Chief Executive Officer Datuk Ruslan Hassan said the breakdown in two pump houses in Wangsa Maju and Pudu Hulu Baru would be addressed soon but the water distribution process to affected areas would take a week.

"The water distribution process to affected areas after the repair works are carried out will take at least a weak...some times we need to refill the pipes and empty pools," he told a media conference, here on Wednesday.

Ruslan said 40 Syabas water tankers were provided in addition to rented water tankers from the City Hall (DBKL) and private sector, to deliver water to the public.
