KUALA LUMPUR: Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has warned of the negative impact of the widespread use of abbreviated language in text messages among the young.
He said the spread of the abbreviated language brought about by the information and communications technology (ICT) should be curtailed to prevent it from ruining Bahasa Melayu as the national language.
