Search for teenager feared drowned in dam will not affect Penang water supply

GEORGE TOWN: The Perbadanan Bekalan Air Pulau Pinang (PBAPP) will temporarily stop drawing raw water from the Teluk Bahang Dam for treatment until a teenager who went missing Sunday after he went swimming in the dam is found.

General Manager Jaseni Maidinsa said Monday PBAPP would instead, supply water sourced from the Batu Ferringhi water catchment areas to be treated at the Batu Ferringhi Treatment Plant.
