KUALA LUMPUR: Umno secretary-general Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor has reminded graduates against using Umno as a stepping stone to achieve their personal interests.

Instead, he said, they should remain loyal and continue to love the party.

He said they should also always remember their roots and how they were able to pursue studies to a higher level, including overseas.

"I'm asking for sincerity. Don't use Umno as a stepping stone to achieve personal gains," he told reporters after a luncheon in conjunction with the Institution of Higher Learning National Graduates' Leadership Discourse at the Putra World Trade Centre here.

The discourse was attended by graduates from 150 institutions of higher learning in the country and 72 delegates from Overseas Umno Club. - Bernama
