PETALING JAYA: The coming week is set to be a busy one with many national events lined up in the Klang Valley.
The five-day Umno general assembly will kick off at the PWTC on Monday and will see 2,264 delegates attending the meeting.
It will begin with the Premier Information Seminar today to be opened by Umno president Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
This will be followed by the Third International Forum on Monday and Tuesday, to be joined by delegates from 27 nations.
The Presidential Briefing on Tuesday, which would be held behind closed doors, is among the events awaited by the delegates as Najib is expected to give his message to the Umno election machinery which would be heading to “the mother of all general elections”.
On the same day, the 2012 Wanita, Youth and Puteri general assemblies will be held at Dewan Merdeka, before the main general assembly the following day.
Tourism Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen will launch the Bukit Bintang KLCC (BBKLCC) at KLCC on Monday.
The event marks the beginning of the year-end festivities at BBKLCC, meant as a showcase of the best that the shopping district has to offer, such as the Christmas mall celebrations and 1Malaysia Year End Sale.
The launch will also highlight the duty-free shopping drive covering the eight major BBKLCC shopping malls in the district.
On the same evening, Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob will launch the Human Capital Cooperatives Transformation Convention at the Sunway Convention Centre.
