PETALING JAYA: Malaysian Maid Employers' Association (Mama) claims some agencies are unofficially charging employers between RM7,000 and RM8,000 for Indonesian maids although fees have been capped at RM4,511.
Its president Engku Ahmad Fauzi Engku Muhsein also questioned why the memorandum of understanding between Malaysia and Indonesia on maids was even signed when fees could be raised indiscriminately.
