Nov 16 for court decision on bid for judicial review against Govt acquisition of church land

KUANTAN: The High Court here has reserved Nov 16 for a decision on whether to grant the Titular Roman Catholic Archbishop of Kuala Lumpur leave for a judicial review against the Government's decision to acquire a part of the St Thomas Church land.

The Archbishop's lawyer Datuk Bastian Vendargon said judge Justice Mariana Yahya needed time to decide after senior federal counsels Aida Adhha Abu Bakar and Muzila Mohamed Arsad raised an objection against the application on the ground that it was frivolous.
