KOTA KINABALU: The Kota Kinabalu International Airport came to a standstill last night after the runway lights blacked out, affecting some 30 flights and leaving thousands of passengers stranded, with many local and international flights being diverted to nearby airports.
Malaysia Airports Berhad (MAB) officials said they were servicing the runway lights and hoped to get them back on as soon as possible but up till press time, the lights were still out.
