THE portrayal of the May 13 riots in the controversial film Tanda Putera is necessary to educate youths about the need for different races to live in harmony, said Deputy Information, Communications and Culture Minister Datuk Maglin D’cruz.
He said the Government believed historical events should be depicted in a realistic manner given the level of maturity of the current youths.
