DAP’s Jimmy Wong suspended after he refused to obey Sabah assembly speaker


KOTA KINABALU: DAP's Sri Tanjong assemblyman Jimmy Wong Sze Phin (DAP) was suspended from proceedings at the Sabah State Assembly on Wednesday because he had disobeyed the Speaker, said Speaker Datuk Seri Salleh Tun Said Keruak.

"I suspended him because he had ignored my order. As an assemblyman he should be focusing on the debate pursuant to Standing Order 43(1); under Standing Order 43(6) representatives are restricted from making statements in bad faith against fellow members.
