KUALA LUMPUR: Unemployed graduates can attend a six-week training programme sponsored by the Government and gain skills to get a job.

The Graduate Career Accelerated Programme (GCAP), which aims to improve the employability of unemployed graduates, is a skills upgrading training programme designed to transform graduates into highly-employable executives for the service industry.

Scicom Education Group chief operating officer Jude Mohan said GCAP is conducted in English, with special emphasis on improving graduates' oral skills.

GCAP is sponsored by TalentCorp of the Prime Minister's Office, managed by MyPartners Sdn Bhd and designed and delivered by Scicom Education Group.

Mohan said after successful completion of the programme, graduates will be awarded certificates and would be referred to companies for possible employment.

The Scicom Education Group has already trained over 4,000 people and has a successful job placement rate of 97%.

To qualify, applicants have to be Malaysian citizens, have a degree from a recognised university and are currently unemployed.
