Surgeon’s two appeals turned down by court

IN our article on Page 22 on Oct 5, 2012, titled “Appeal to sue hospital upheld”, it was inadvertently omitted that the Court of Appeal had also dismissed cardiothoracic surgeon Dr Alfred Poey’s two other appeals and affirmed the High Court’s decisions in dismissing his two applications for injunction against Adventist Hospital & Clinic Services (M), the company which runs Penang Adventist Hospital.

It was pointed out that the High Court in Penang had on June 8, 2012 dismissed the application made by Dr Poey for an injunction to restrain the company from holding an EGM to remove him as a trustee.
