KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia welcomes the United Nations (UN) Secretary-General's report on the implementation of the Second-World Assembly on Ageing to ensure integration of older persons in social development was on the right track, said Malaysia's Permanent Representative to the UN Datuk Hussein Haniff.
In a statement issued on Agenda Item 27: Social Development of the Third Committee at the 67th Session of UN General Assembly in New York Tuesday, he said the Malaysian Government was committed towards providing conducive and enabling environment for older persons in the country.
