Wee: Private secondary Chinese school in Kuantan ready in two years

KUANTAN: The first private secondary Chinese school to be built here is expected to be ready in two years.

Deputy Education Minister Datuk Wee Ka Siong said the school would enable students to study until the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) and Unified Examination Certificate (UEC). "The Education Ministry has approved an application from the Kuantan Chinese Schools Management Board for its construction on July 26. "The construction of the school not only meets the aspiration of the Chinese Community, but saves on expenditure as children can study near their families as opposed to sending them outstation," he said.
