KUALA LUMPUR: A lawyer acting for Borders store manager Nik Raina Nik Abdul Aziz, who was charged with distributing a controversial book by Canadian author Irshad Manji, has applied in a Syariah High Court here for a stay of proceedings pending a judicial review decision in the Civil High Court.
Rosli Dahlan, who appeared for Nik Raina, 36, made the application when the case was mentioned here before Syarie Judge Abdul Walid Abu Hassan Wednesday.
