KOTA KINABALU: Malaysians have been reminded about Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s attempt to overthrow the Barisan Nasional Federal Government in the run-up to the 2008 Malaysia Day.
Sabah MCA vice-chairman Chew Kok Woh said there were attempts to persuade Barisan MPs to defect then, noting that PKR vice-president Tian Chua had allegedly tried to persuade Sabah and Sarawak MPs, who were then on an eight-day study trip to Taiwan, to cross over.
