Muhyiddin condemns film insulting the Prophet Muhammad

KOTA BARU: Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has condemned the film "Innocence of Muslims" which mocks and insults Prophet Muhammad, and instructed the authorities to prohibit its distribution in the country.

"We Muslims cannot accept (films which insult Prophet Muhammad). It is a major offence. We cannot allow this, whether it is in the form of films, words or whatever," he said. Muhyiddin was responding to questions from reporters on the cheap film, produced by California-based Israeli Sam Bacile, after opening the Kota Baru Umno delegates meeting.
