Hishammuddin: Opposition trying to create animosity in lead-up to GE

KULAIJAYA: The opposition parties will continue its tactics and activities to create animosity and break the unity of the rakyat until the next General Election, said Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein.

He said that the opposition had always been involved in planting allegations and "hate culture" with their empty promises and claims.

"We (Barisan Nasional) must be smart and alert in handling such matters and allegations and of course we have to let the police do their job in the case of the wanted suspects who stepped on images of the Prime Minister recently," he said after attending a Hari Raya open house organised by Umno Kulaijaya on Saturday.

The Umno lawmaker said that stepping on images of the nation's leaders and disrespecting the Jalur Gemilang were just the tip of the iceberg when it to came things that the opposition were doing to break the rakyat's unity.
