PETALING JAYA: Datuk Sheikh Mustapha Abdul Shukor, the father of Malaysian astronaut Datuk Dr Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor, died at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Hospital, Friday, from colon cancer. He was 77.
Sheikh Muszaphar said his father, who suffered the illness for the past five years, had been receiving treatment at HUKM for the past one month. He died at 9.26am.
