Nazri: Anti-hopping bill against Constitution

Nazri commenting on Section 114A of the Evidence Act in a press conference

KUALA KANGSAR: Any proposal for an "anti-hopping" bill will contravene the Federal Constitution which guarantees freedom of association for everyone, said Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz.

"The freedom is given to everyone, including MPs, to associate themselves with any party, so until and unless we amend the Federal Constitution, I do not see how the Bill can move further.
