JOHOR BARU: The Johor government has allocated RM500,000 for the setting up of a Teochew Museum in recognition of the community's contribution to the development of the state capital.
Mentri Besar Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman said Teochews of the Ngee Heng Kongsi were the largest of 4,000 Chinese pioneers from Singapore who settled down in Johor Baru.
