CHINA Press reported that a 49-year-old woman is seeking a divorce from her 50-something husband who insists on having sex three times a day.

The woman, who was a breast cancer patient, said she had to meet his sexual needs every day even though she had to go for medical treatment for the past four years.

She said her husband would throw a tantrum if she refused to have sex with him.

Although she had thought of divorcing him once before, she decided to give him a chance after he pleaded with her.

Furthermore, she found that he had once had an affair with a rich woman, who was also in her 50s.

> Malaysian students who intend to study in Taiwan have apparently been made to undergo tests for syphillis, Sin Chew Daily reported.

The move has been criticised by several Malaysian doctors, who said it was humiliating and an intrusion of the students' privacy.

“It is ridiculous to request students who are 18 or 19 years old to go for syphillis tests,” said a doctor, identified only as Dr Huang, who has been conducting medical tests for students who wish to study in Taiwan.

Dr Huang also said that it was against the Medical Act to carry out such tests on syphillis on those below 21 years of age.

A spokesman for the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office said he would follow up with the relevant authorities before making any comment, adding that there might have been a misunderstanding on the matter.
