KUALA LUMPUR: Dogs, cats, horse and rabbits can now get passports with their medical history from the Department of Veterinary Services and have chips placed under their skin to make it easier for owners to trace them if they go missing.
Director-General Datuk Dr Abd Aziz said that pet owners could obtain the Pet Passports, or Malaysian Animal Identification Cards by registering their pets at the Department of Veterinary Services (DVS) offices or through specially qualified veterinarians appointed by the department.
