GEORGE TOWN: The Federal Government should provide the Penang Government with a letter of indemnity so that the state can cancel hillslope projects, said Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng.
He said Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Seri Chor Chee Heung's statement that the state only needed to pay a small amount of compensation to developers if it decided to cancel hillslope projects was an “empty announcement”.
