Jobless rate down to 2.9%


SERDANG: The unemployment rate in Malaysia has dropped from 3.1% to 2.9% so far this year, said Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Donald Lim Siang Chai.

Lim said this had surpassed the employment performance in places such as the United States and Europe, where unemployment hovers at 9% and 11% respectively.
