Another asylum seeker boat in distress off Indonesian coast


SYDNEY: The Australian Government on Wednesday confirmed that another asylum seeker boat carrying up to 180 people was in distress off the coast of Indonesia.

According to China's Xinhua news agency Home Affairs Minister Jason Clare told the radio networks of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC Radio) on Wednesday morning that the boat made a distress call at 4:30 a.m. (Australian Eastern Standard Time) when it was about 50 nautical miles south of Indonesia.
