KUALA LUMPUR: Illegal immigrants numbering 1,303,216 were registered from Aug 1 to 31 last year, during the registration process for the 6P programme.
Of these, 1,015, 852 were registered for work purposes, while the remaining 287,364 were registered to be sent to their home nations. So far, 161,843 illegals have been sent home.
