MARANG: The Rural and Regional Development Ministry has spent almost RM8bil this year in developing rural areas nationwide, Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal said.
The minister added that the money went towards building and improving basic infrastructure and amenities as well as generating sources of income for the rural folk.
