GEORGE TOWN: Ten Opposition assemblymen walked out of the state assembly after Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng refused to retract his statement that Hindu shrines might be threatened if Umno returns to power.
Lim made the remark during a discussion on the demolition of a 50-year-old Muniswarar shrine by Penang Port Sdn Bhd (PPSB) after A. Tanasekharan (DAP-Bagan Dalam) spoke about the welfare of the Hindu community in the state.
