DBKL won't close roads to Dataran Merdeka

KUALA LUMPUR: None of the roads leading to Dataran Merdeka have been closed, Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) Mayor Tan Sri Ahmad Fuad Ismail said Friday.

"While we advise the public not to gather at Dataran Merdeka, as it is closed, those planning to take part (in the rally) should abide by the rules," he said, adding that DBKL maintained its decision not to allow Saturday's proposed Bersih 3.0 rally there.
