KUALA LUMPUR: The High Court has dismissed an application by a Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) corporal for leave to initiate contempt proceedings against Defence Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and five others.
RMAF corporal Najwa Zainol, who was jailed for 28 days after she allegedly failed to take leave to get married, had succeeded on Jan 19 in getting a court order for the Armed Forces Council to review her commanding officer’s decision to punish her.
