KUALA LUMPUR: The first Malaysian-made AV8 armoured personnel carrier (APC), designed to transport infantry and can be armed with various weapons, will be available in 12 variants.
Defence Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said progress on the eight-wheeled APC, being manufactured by Deftech under a joint-programme signed with FNSS Turkey last year, was going well.
