JOHOR BARU: Barisan Nasional should continue to maintain its power after the general election, and recapture several states now under the opposition, according to a study by the Special Affairs Department (Jasa).

Jasa Psychological Operations Division director Taharuddin Yaakob said the study by the government agency showed that Barisan would regain its two-thirds majority.

"The people appreciate the determination shown by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

"No Prime Minister in the past had ever laid down his 'report card' for evaluation by the people as had been done by Datuk Seri Najib," he said.

Taharuddin also gave out cash payments of RM3,000 each to 37 former Johor Jasa officers and laptop computers to 80 state Jasa officers serving in parliamentary and state constituencies in Johor. - Bernama
