GEORGE TOWN: Two weeks after announcing his decision to quit as chairman of the PAS Supporters Club (DHPP) Penang chapter, Dr Ooi Ah Loo @ Vellautham confirmed that he will contest as an independent candidate in the general election.
The medical doctor said he would contest in the Bayan Lepas state seat as he had been staying in the constituency for the past 40 years.
