BUTTERWORTH: A company director paid a RM80,000 deposit to help secure a luxury house for a minister’s former political secretary, a Sessions Court heard.
Gallant Route Sdn Bhd project manager Quah Hooi Eng said one of the directors – the late Tan Kim Chooi – paid the amount as a deposit for a RM3.85mil house in Taman Gita Bayu, Selangor, on behalf of a company called Japarudin Bin Ibrahim Sdn Bhd (JBI) in 2009.
