Police bust major gambling den, 63 nabbed

GEORGE TOWN: Police uncovered a gambling den, believed to be the biggest in the state, in Relau with the arrest of 63 people, ages between 30 and 70.

Bukit Aman anti-gambling unit head Deputy Supt Tan Tin Heng said the bet could exceed RM250,000 at a time. Seventeen of those detained were women.

Police confiscated RM45,000 in cash and gambling chips with value of RM65,000 during Wednesday night's raid in Kampung Batak.
