Improved revenue collection to pay for salary adjustments


IPOH: The RM6bil needed to finance the 7% to 13% salary adjustments for civil servants will be obtained from government collection agencies, said Second Finance Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah.

“We have set a higher level of efficiency in the collection of revenue from agencies such as the Inland Revenue Board (IRB) and the Customs Department,” he said after handing over RM350,000 for the development of eight new shophouses in Kampung Datuk Ahmad Said Tambahan 2 here.
