GEORGE TOWN: There should be more educational material such as reference books in Braille to make learning easier for the visually impaired, said St Nicholas Home executive director Daniel Soon.
“We pride ourselves that we live in a civil society where all have access to education. However, it is sad to see that most BVI (Blind and Visually Impaired) children go to school even without textbooks,” Soon said during the “Braille on the Beach 2012” event at the Teluk Bahang beach near here yesterday.
