PETALING JAYA: Police have identified a kidnapping syndicate which tricks parents into believing their children have been abducted by playing a crying' recording.
At least four families had fallen prey and lost RM57,000, said Serdang Commercial Crimes Investigation department chief Asst Supt Azani Saupi.
