Selangor police bust illegal mini casino

SHAH ALAM: Selangor police have busted an illegal mini casino operating from a shoplot at Taman Selatan here, recovering RM103,261 in cash and more than 600 casino chips.

Initial investigation by the police revealed that the casino, which had been operating with a signboard that read “Persatuan Kelapa Sawit”, had been in business' for a week.

Twenty suspects, aged between 39 and 59 were arrested during the bust at 7pm Thursday.

State police chief Datuk Tun Hisan Tun Hamzah said all the suspects were charged in court and fined RM1,000 each.
