KUALA LUMPUR: Police have set up special squads in every state to curb the increasingly widespread activities of football bookies, Federal CID Secret Societies, Gambling and Vice (D7) principal assistant director Datuk Abdul Jalil Hassan said Wednesday.
The squads were established with the collaboration of the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) which understood the tactics and performance of footballers, he said.
