KUALA LUMPUR: Kita (Parti Kesejahteraan Insan Tanah Air) has instructed its legal counsel to contest a show-cause letter issued by the Registrar of Societies (ROS) on why the party should not be de-registered.
Party information chief Mohd Mazlan Abd Manaf said the show-cause letter was "unwarranted" as he claimed the registrar had the power to cancel the registration of a society only under the circumstances as set out in Section 13 of the Societies Act.
