Do not deport Saudi columnist, urge groups


PETALING JAYA: International groups are calling for Malaysia not to send the Saudi Arabian newspaper columnist, who allegedly posted several tweets which insulted Islam, back to his home country where he could be executed.

Amnesty International said Mohammad Najeeb A. Kashgari was a “prisoner of conscience” since he was being detained in Malaysia for peacefully exercising his right to freedom of expression.
