GEORGE TOWN: Thousands of devotees gathered along Jalan Datuk Keramat to smash coconuts during the annual Thaipusam celebration.
Watched by tourists, the devotees offered flowers, perfumed joss sticks, fruits and other items to Lord Muruga as a silver chariot inched its way along the crowded street.
