Iranian ordered to enter defence on drug charge

GEORGE TOWN: A 31-year-old Iranian national was ordered by the High Court here to enter his defence on a charge of trafficking 2.03kg of methamphetamine at the Penang International Airport on Jan 9 last year.

Justice Zamani Abdul Rahim said he was satisfied that Akbar Jafarishorestani Mohammad had exclusive possession of the drugs that were found hidden in the lining of a backpack he had with him.
