Fifteen nabbed in operation against online gambling

JELEBU: Fifteen people, including three government servants, were detained in an operation on online gambling at four premises in Pekan Baru, Simpang Pertang here on Saturday.

The Negri Sembilan Islamic Affairs Department, in collaboration with the National Security Council, conducted the eight-hour raid, beginning 8pm, seizing 15 units of computer and RM4,000 betting cash.

The department's operations head, Ahmad Zaki Hamzah, said today the suspects were Muslims, in their 20s and 50s, who were sent to the Simpang Pertang police station to facilitate investigations. - Bernama
