ALOR SETAR: The decision by the Kulim district office to terminate the liquor ban policy was a ploy by the state government to gauge public reaction and feedback on hudud law, a MCA assemblyman alleged.
Gurun assemblyman Dr Leong Yong Kong claimed the move was to test the public reactions should the PAS led state government decides to introduce the Islamic law in Kedah.
