SHAH ALAM: The contamination at Sungai Selangor recently has been traced to the collapse of a river bank at Sungai Kerling, about 2km from a mini hydro-electric station near the Selangor-Pahang border.
Floods, caused by Sungai Kerling rising some 2m, brought along tonnes of logs, mud and sand downstream.
