Malacca govt waives SFI’s RM1.2mil quit rent arrears

MALACCA: It is the best Christmas gift for St Francis Institution (SFI) as the state government has waived the school’s RM1.2mil quit rent arrears and was told it only had to pay RM1 for quit rent in the future.

State Education, Youth and Sports Committee chairman Datuk Gan Tian Loo said the decision to waive the quit rent was made two weeks ago during the state exco meeting.
